I am only just getting around to accepting the Versatile Blogger Award. Better late than never, as they say!
I am grateful to Cheryle of the Lightwalkers Blog http://lightwalker1.wordpress.com for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award. Cheryle is trained in Reiki, Spiritual Healing, Intuitive Flower reading, Reflexology, Ear Candeling, Samatha Meditation. Her interests include: writing, baking, poetry, painting, photography, gardening and many other creative endeavours evidence of which are wonderfully displayed on her blog .
The Rules for accepting the Versatile Blogger Award are as follows:
1) Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their site.
2) Tell 7 things about yourself
3) Nominate 15 bloggers
4) Link to their sites and let them know of the nomination.
Tell 7 things about yourself
1) I have lived in a house where there was so much paranormal activity it scared me and I was forced to move.
2)I have seen an angel.
3)I don’t like sleeping in the dark.
4)I don’t like heights and flying.
5) I took my driving test 7 times before passing on the final attempt.
6) I love being by the sea
7) One of my favourite films is “Cabaret” starring Liza Minnelli.
Nominations
I’m not going to nominate 15 bloggers because most of the blogs that I love and follow are done by established bloggers who already have a huge following and already have awards. Some of them prefer not to accept awards. What I will do is list some of the blogs that I have read recently and which I think are absolutely worth a visit. And they are as follows:
1. http://eclecticoddsnsods.com
2. http://33580laborde.wordpress.com
3. http://rubyspolaroid.wordpress.com
4. http://badfish2.wordpress.com

Congratulations on this award. Your writing is marvelous to read (I don’t say that about just any writing). And I thank you for the nomination. I accept and will (OK, sooner or later!!!) fulfill my obligations for acceptance. I must warn you, though: I am a procrastinator. Thanks again, and keep up this writing. I met an angel once.

Thanks so much! I’m do pleased that you have accepted the nomination and that I am able to visit your blog. You are the crazy (in a nice way of course!!) independent, fun loving, adventurous kind of person I would llike to be. Instead I’m a shy introvert. Maybe in my next life …? I’d love to hear your angel story somtime. 🙂

Marie, it’s funny you say that. Because really, I am extremely introverted & shy in real life. On the page, for some reason, I can express things in a way that I can’t in person. Maybe it’s the same for you?

Funny you should say that, but “yes” to your second sentence. But unlike you, I don’t travel around the world on my own which I think takes a certain amount of courage and self-assurance. I do admire you for that. I suppose it is possible to be a courageous, self-confident introvert. 🙂

It’s less about courage and self confidence, and more about the desire to see what’s out there in the rest of the world. And traveling instills a certain kind of courage…not because you already have it, but because you need to go buy that next train ticket, or cross that river.

And thank you for nominating me! It just occurred to me that we in the “blogging world” emanate such love, acceptance, approval, and admiration for each other. How amazing it would be if this is how humanity (in the “real” world) behaved towards one another? In the words of Louis Armstrong “What a wonderful world it would be”. Thank you for the lovely things you say about myblog, they do boister me and encourage me to write more. ILaL, Marie
