LOVE IS LIKE THE SEA
Love is like the sea
There are hidden depths
You never know how deep it is
If you only stick your toe in
Just think how much more
We have yet to discover –
Let’s jump in!
Romantic love can be
A source of pleasure and of pain
You have to let your spirit reign
With majesty yet humbly
In order to gain
The greatest gift humans can share –
Come on, let’s swim away!
And now we’re floating, like a boat
And now we’re diving – water in my throat
But that’s just how it is and will always be
Sometimes floating like a dream
Other times we want to choke
Unless we go for broke
And stroke this crazy emotion – we’ll be left standing on the shore!

Oh so loved this Marie.. 🙂 and so happy as I turned on the reader this afternoon yours just jumped up at me..
What a great way to describe LOVE
Love has so much more depths seeking to be explored.. And once we dip our toe in.. We can be swept away by the tide..
Loved being swept away.. <3… hope you are well dear friend.. xx Hugs ❤ Sue

I was going to be a little bit cheeky here Hariod, but I find that sometimes my wit is misplaced (sadly, for me! :0). So, I will give you a serious answer: I’m at the bottom of the ocean ….
And it’s lovely to see you here bearing compliments, which I unashamedly love!
When’s your offering coming? February is heralding March and I’ve not been privy to your promise …hahaha

Seriously, you have taken the words right out of my mouth Hariod. It was only because I was distracted by another blogger (figuratively speaking) that you got in before me with your question. And yes is the answer to your question – just doing a little morning meditation … what’s your reason? Or are you normally up at this time? 🙂

Hariod, do you mean for hiccups or do you mean if you haven’t written the post yet, and you are afraid that your promise might be broken? I have cures for both, but am reluctant to divulge both at the same time as it can be very draining … lol

I just woke up unusually early and felt very awake, for some reason. My cure for hiccups is a prayer to St. Jude — the patron Saint of Lost Causes. That never works though, so it’s a case of drinking a glass of water from the wrong side following the prayer. That said, I very rarely get hiccups.
I’ve written the post, so there’ll be no hiccups on that front; I just decided to hang back and not post on the weekend as many others do. Tuesday is such a nice sounding day, don’t you think? Thursday is quite nice, but Tuesday has the edge in my book.

Your cure dear Hariod begs the question which side is the wrong side of a glass? Please don’t feel obligated to answer that. My cure for hiccups though is to get someone to give you a fright. As you live alone, that might be tricky. Do you have a ghost there? lol
If you had not already written the post, then I would suggest (for a remedy) to recycle an old post and give it a new name and jazz it up a little so that your avid followers don’t guess that they have read it before.
Tuesday is a nice sounding day, I am inclined to agree – but with you I’m inclined to agree with everything. Tch, there I go flirting again. Sorry, you have that effect on me …:)

“Other times we want to choke
Unless we go for broke” can you elaborate on this please??
LikeLiked by 1 person
mariewilliams53 said:
Hey Tareau! Elaborate: I’m using the sea as a metaphor here for the emotion of loving someone. When you are in the sea if you swallow too much water, it can seem as if you are choking. When you are in love or you love someone, and things are not going well or the love is unrequited it makes you feel bad – that’s like choking. Going for broke – that’s to say, you go all out for love: you don’t think about all the things that might make you want to shun/avoid/keep your distance/not get involved with someone because you don’t want to get hurt/you’ve been hurt before/you feel your love might not be returned/you find it hard to commit – all those reasons and maybe you can find some more. To sum it up, I’m saying that unless you take a chance on ‘love’ you will lose out – hence ‘left standing on the shore – another metaphor. Happy?? 🙂
