I have not gone
I am close by
In the stars above
You can see my love
I have not gone
I am by your side
In the moon above
You will feel my love
I have not gone
I walk with you
As the world revolves
You will touch my love
I have not gone
I still talk with you
Listen carefully and do not fear
It’s my loving voice you hear
I have not gone
I am near by
Don’t forget
My love will never die
~ Marie Williams 2016

I concur with Mary Ann! This special poem was first published at the end of 2016 and is available at Marie’s other blog at https://riceandpease.wordpress.com/2016/12/18/still-close-by/

I also mentioned this poem in my specially formatted comment at https://soundeagle.wordpress.com/2012/08/04/35-modern-words-recently-added-to-the-dictionary/comment-page-1/#comment-8726

What is most unusual, in fact, triply unusual, is that I mentioned the poem in my special comment before realizing that Marie has republished it here; that of all the posts that Marie could have chosen to republish here, she chose that particular post; and that of all the posts that I could have mentioned and hyperlinked in my comment, I also chose that specific post!

Thanks SoundEagle. I really appreciate what a lovely supportive PR person you have been regarding my poem. I am not ignoring you, but have been having problems with accessing my blog. I have seen your earlier messages and read them with the intention to respond, but when I do, I find I am not able to gain access which is annoying. Hopefully, there will be a solution to this problem soon!

When I read this it made me cry, especially when I read the last line/dedication.. Thank you, dear friend. its a beautiful poem and I can really identify with this. Its really strange, you have an empathy for me with feelings and poems. Its like you are there to haul me back from the dark abyss. Sofar that is twice you have ” save me” ( Hairdo will be pleased and impressed. He knew you were destined for great things, he told me ) Keep it up, its obviously your destiny. Thank you dear, friend ( Jackie!)

I’m so happy that you found this! Honestly, I didn’t want to alert you to it, and somehow I hoped you’d discover it soon and it would be a comfort to you. I didn’t want to make it too obvious who it was aimed at in case you were offended that I had broadcasted it – thank you so much for receiving it in the spirit (no pun intended!) it was sent.
It was lovely of Hairdo to ‘big me up’ like that! He’s a sweetheart and so are you, Jackie. x

Oh, goodness me, that was good timing then. I hope you had a lovely day and a nice bit of cake! All best wishes, Marie, as always, Hariod.

I had a fabulous day Hariod – thank you. Mind you I was at the hospital for chemo for most of the day, but I was wished a happy birthday, once I had to identify myself and my date of birth for treatment – it clicked with the nurses immediately! 🙂
Munched on chocolate cake once I got home and thoroughly enjoyed it. So lovely to hear from you Hariod – as always. 🙂

Are you getting used to the procedure, may I ask, the Portacath or whatever? A very close friend of mine (well, two friends, actually; no three with you!) goes in monthly for chemo, and have become quite comfortable with the process now. Anyway, it’s good to hear from you dear Marie, and I send you all my love. H ❤

A beautiful and evocative poem. It has the suggestion of a child’s nursery rhyme, offering comfort and profound truth at the same time.
